INTRODUCTION This document only provides complementary or late-breaking information to supplement the documentation. To consult the online help containing the installation manual and the user manual, please open the file named aochelp.chm in the same directory than this readme file. 2. COMPLEMENTARY INFORMATION 2.1 Remark on the installation During the installation of PIMphony, the installation program asks (if necessary) for the installation of Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. At the end of the installation of the .NET Framework, you are asked to reboot your PC. Following this reboot, you will have to launch again the PIMphony installation program (this is not done automatically). 2.2 Supported phone sets Alcatel PIMphony support the following phone sets: - Alcatel Reflexes, - Analogic or wireless DECT/PWT, - 40x8/IP, 40x9, - MIPT300 and 600 WLAN phone sets. 2.3 Note concerning Alcatel PIMphony IP To use Alcatel PIMphony IP with an external USB handset in Windows 2000, the file "audiofile.txt" in the Alcatel PIMphony installation directory must be configured manually. The following parameters must be modified: - The parameters "voiceDeviceName" and "ringDeviceName" must be set to the name of the USB audio device to be used. - The parameter "connectionPort" must be set to the value "USB". The name of the USB audio device can be found via the Windows Control Panel by choosing the option "Sounds and Audio Devices" and then selecting the tab "Audio". Warning, any other modification in this file may cause the application to behave incorrectly.
